Squirrels

Picture

A fun critter to have in game, especially when your own critter pelts you with a nut.

In Mulgore, there is a place where the animals change; they become militaristic and attack each other...mice, rabbits and prairie dogs take up arms and eradicate everyone else.

Picture
There are 273 species of squirrels and they inhabit almost every non-desert environment on earth (except Antarctica, of course.) Some are arboreal, living in trees, some have flaps of skin between limbs, allowing them to "fly/float" between trees, and some live on the ground.  Their colors vary greatly depending on where they live and size can be from 4in long to almost two and a half feet (Marmot). Their diet is mostly plant material and nuts, but they will opportunistically eat insects, eggs and small vertebrates.  Prairie dogs and chipmunks are also a part of the squirrel family.

Mice

There are almost 1000 species of mice and rats and they cover the globe. The Norway Rat (Rattus norvegicus) is often the species seen in urban areas and is an omnivore eating all manner of plant and animal material.

Rabbits - Lagomorphs

Picture
There are over 100 breeds of rabbit all selectively bred from the European Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). Rabbits are herbivores that feed mainly on grasses.  The breed quickly and often and are the key prey species to numerous land and avian carnivores.  There are 87 overall species of rabbits, native to most continents except Antartica and Australia. They primarily use speed to outrun their predators, reaching speeds of up to 45mph.

Skunk

Picture

Picture
There are 10 species of skunks and they are New World mammals, native to only the Americas. Skunks are one of the few groups of mammals to rely on chemicals (smell) as a defense. Their black and white striking coloration serves as a warning to predators that a foul smelling musk lies in store for any one who gets too close. Striped Skunk (Mephitis mephitis)

In certain pools in the MoP Panda start area you get turned into a skunk if you walk into the water.
