Bats - order Chiroptera

There are over 900 species of bats and are found worldwide. These guys can fly up to 30 mph, in complete darkness, thanks to their echolocation.  Sonic Blast as a pet skill for hunter pets is a decent build off of a bats natural ability.  And echolocation is used that way by sperm whales who can emit sound waves strong enough to stun prey.  Prey for bats includes insects and sometimes cows or other larger animals for their blood. Other species eat fruit, nectar and pollen.
