WOW BIOLOGY 101

A Zoo Keeper's perspective on Azerothian Fauna.

World of Warcraft is an amazing MMORPG rich in animal life.  The flora and fauna we interact with in-game had to come from somewhere. This is my search for Blizzard's inspiration in our own natural world.

This site is organized by taxonomy - essentially based off of animals physiological and genetic similarities = like grouped with like. On the mythological or WOW created animals I have made a best-guess based off the animals appearance and behavior. If you disagree or have an alternate theory please share it in my Blog section! (or Forums, I have Forums now, Forums are cool.) I happily invite friendly discourse and only wish to spread a better understanding of Azeroth's fauna, the animals living just outside our front doors and how they are connected.
