Have I mentioned how gorgeous these zones are? It is a feast for the eyes - so much color! Pandaria is proving to be as much fun as the start zone. There is a quirky fun-ness to the Pandaren people and the quests. And the way you get there is simply epic. The Horde/alliance conflict is prevalent throughout the quests and its driving a nice story. You feel kind of bad for he Pandaren who've been caught in the middle.
The Sha are setting up to be a pretty decent enemy - the enemy within, but pretty nasty looking. It reminds me of a xenomorph, which are terrifying, so good choice of representation of malicious energy.
Oh, I'm just gonna call in some air strikes like a boss and blow this stuff up. The "comm chatter" is fun and it rocks that there's a strong chick at the head of the Alliance presence over here.
Also, how cool is it to have your toon's image as a part of this grand quest-water-vision-thing? An unexpected surprise, these fish people are all right. Prince Anduin...fancy meeting you here, no, wait...actually, I've been looking all over for you! Oh, what, you're not going to come along and do as you're told? I'm so surprised, no really, this is my surprised face. |
AND THERE ARE DRAGONS!!!
THAT YOU CAN RIDE!!!
Sure, one is a part of a quest, but I hold out hope that mounts may take on the same awesome look. These guy fly well through the sky. It's this slick undulating movement that I simply adore. The Chinese dragon is just so wonderfully different from the western ones. I know they are called serpents, but I'd be curious what the former aspects would think of them. I hope to see more and... rep grind with the mount sellers, here I come!
I am currently Level 86 and am about to move to the next zone. I'm taking my time, doing every quest and just enjoying the atmosphere. It's fun. It's interesting. Thank you Blizzard.
Oh, and here's a small tribute to Gizmo and Socks. You were brave and faithful racoons. You made me smile. Blizzard...you tore my heart out here, I blame you for this. Nice use of gorgon mythology, though. And the perspectives of the different Si:7 people made for a different quest experience than the usual.
p.s. I'm not being fake super positive to try and win any brownie points with Blizzard. I'm just truly enjoying the new zones. Also, I tend to be a pretty positive person.
p.p.s. Although, if there are points to be had that would score me brownies from Blizzard, I'd totally be farming for them. Just sayin...
