As a wow player and a biologist, I encourage you from time to time, and always in a respectful manner, to question my logic. If you're unconvinced that a particular piece of information I've provided is the wisest, tell me so, but allow me to convince you and I promise you right here and now, no subject will ever be taboo. Except, of course, the subject that was just under discussion. The price you pay for trolling, or complaining that WOW didn't copy this world exactly as it is, is ... I collect your frakking head. Just like this frakker here. Now, if any of you sons of bitches got anything else to say, now's the frakking time!
"Kill Bill" references aside - the biology rant about how WOW is not EXACTLY like the real world and what exactly they got wrong, does have correct information. Those are indeed some of the differences, some of the places where Blizzard walked their own path. Giraffe do indeed have a covering of skin over their horns. Do I think that difference detracts from the game? Not one bit. Now, if I were walking around the Serengeti and I saw a Giraffe with bare horns, I might be concerned it was injured or maybe had a birth defect, but even then? Not gonna bug me too much. In fact, what would bug me more was that I was WALKING around the Serengeti and not in a vehicle with solid doors and a working engine.
Blizzard has done an AMAZING job creating a jaw dropping world, rich in life and complexity. They have taken what this planet has provided as a jumping off point and filled Azeroth with bits and pieces of everything we as a species have learned about our world (so far.) Kudos to you, good sirs and ladies.
In the end, Haters gonna hate.
But I ain't one.
A Lover,
Banya
hmm...I'm not sure that label came out the way I meant it...
